Goal: $700,000
Contributions to the Thomas E. Hill Fund will help to underwrite the cost of acquiring property adjacent to the Stacy’s Tavern Museum and to fund the building of a replica of the Five Mineral Springs Pavilion in that area. This pavilion, along with the adjacent plaza and flag presentation area, will provide a distinctive visual element for the History Park as well as a place for outdoor concerts and other events of interest to the community.

The Thomas E. Hill Fund commemorates the man who gave Glen Ellyn its name, who raised the money to create Lake Ellyn in 1889, and who was instrumental in building the Five Mineral Springs Pavilion and the Glen Ellyn Hotel. Thomas and his wife, Ellen (after whom the Village was named), were responsible for much of the grace and beauty of early Glen Ellyn that continues to this day.
